  • Be more responsible with my money
  • Blog more often
  • Stop being such a pervert (again, never gonna happen)
  • Make jokes funny (why not cure cancer while you’re at it?)
  • Stop being chickenshit and ask out a girl you find interesting
  • Get your mind right and back on school
  • Work  out somewhat (what did I tell you about the jokes?)

Fail

I set my alarm to wake up an hour earlier than I needed to. I was wondering why my laptop was an hour behind. Oh well; at least that means I didn’t miss breakfast.

My Weekend

It ROCKED. Well, the weekend’s not over yet, but it can’t possibly get any better now. So, to interest all my 0 readers, I will go over it all:

  • Friday was Suds, a party with - you guessed it - lots of suds and foamy bubbles. and it rocked. I danced, which is something I never do and makes me proud to come out of the last vestiges of my shyness.
  • Saturday was the Formula D finale at Irwindale. I have been wanting to go to a Formula D event since 2007, but have never had the time. For someone who wants to get into the sport professionally,it would behoove them to look at what they’re getting into, right? Anyway, it was AWESOME. I think I was spoiled because I usually went to smaller events where you can get closer to the cars, but you could still hear them and smell the tire smoke, so it was all good.

Anyway, that’s all for now.

Popped My Flight Cherry

Yesterday I finally went flying in a small aircraft. I’d been wanting to do this for a while - I want to get a private pilot’s license, and I wanted to get up in a plane before I left for college - but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

But that all changed yesterday.

It feels amazing to just be flying around, to be able to look down upon man and say “L 2 Fly n00b”.

Why can’t more things feel like that?

I have to go back.

B-Day Fallout

None to report, thank God. I didn’t get showered (most likely b/c they didn’t know my birthday was today) and I didn’t fall off my bike, so all-in-all it was a good day. I did, however, go see a movie (Burn After Reading, not worth it) and almost not finish my CS homework. Well, I did kinda not finish my CS homework, but 1 AM’s not the time for semantics. Anyway, I’m going to sleep now.

It was mah birfday.

Mah Birfday

Before I begin with my blog post proper, I’d like to recite a verse from the Birthday Song:

*ahem*

Happy Birfday To Me,

Happy Birfday To Me;

I can finally get my driver’s licence, so

Happy Birfday To Me.

Now that that’s over with, let’s get into it.

I miss Atlanta a little bit. No, not my family, and not my friends to a lesser extent, but the actual city - if I had $1.75, I had the ability to do damn near anything I want. There was so much to do there that it was crazy. Not to say that I couldn’t do things here (I am just outside of LA, to some extent) but it would take on the order of an hour to get there.

I should start my jobs tomorrow. I think I might have bitten off more than I can chew, but only time will tell. I might get showered soon, but hopefully not. I don’t think I’ll be getting any birthday money, but I’ll be getting a Nokia N810, so I think that makes up for it. Anyway, it’s 2:30 AM and I’m tired and I still have a shitload of work to do, so I’m going to sleep.

It’s Mah Birfday. :)

Working Stiff

That’s right, today I got my first job (well, not if you cont working at MaxxFun, but that was for only like three days)! As of Monday I will be a UNIX Student Systems Manager (TitleSpeak for what I believe is a lackey who works on the mailing list) and a Help Desk Assistant. That right, I have two jobs! Apparently I still have some work-study (which I shouldn’t, I’ll look into that), so I’ll knock that right out before December.

If I’m still here.

I Think I’m Coming Down With Something

I’ve been tired for the past few days, and I’ve had a headache to match. Of course, the tiredness could be from all the walking the SI mentors are making us do. In addition, I have this big lump in my armpit. I hope it’s from the deodorant I’m using. No wait, I don’t. I do hope, however, that I don’t have to go to the healing center. I never filled out the forms I would need to get treatment. Hopefully I can get those done before orientation.

One Week Down

OK, so it’s been one week since I left my home for the college life of bountiful beer, babes and math. So how do I feel?

For starters, a bit more tired. In the program I’m in, they have us waking up at about 7:15. I know, you may be thinking “But Jeremy, you’re from the East Coast! Their 7:15 is like 10:15 to you? Shouldn’t this be easy for you?” And to you 0 readers who ask that, the answer is yes, I should.

Theoretically.

Like Communism works theoretically.

I knew I would adjust to the time clock sometime soon, but I didn’t think this soon. OK, those times I stayes up to the equivalent of 2 AM didn’t help that though.

But enough about that, let’s get back to the matter at hand.

I’m meeting some nice people (whose names I don’t remember, some things don’t change), and I’m going to some “classes” tomorrow, so I’ll be able to see how greivous my error was in choosing HMC as my four-year, one-stop shop for higher education.

My bowels don’t seem to like it here, seeing as how I get the worst cramps before I take a dump, maybe they put something in the food here - California, not the 5Cs.

That’s about all for now, check back when I get back from my first set of classes and see how I feel later.

P.S. I had an ant crawl on me, and I killed it and it reminded me of The Ant Bully, and it made me a little sad.

Mixed Feelings

I found my flash drive! God it’s been bugging me since I thought I lost it at the airport, but I found it! Such a relief that I don’t have to pay $30 for another one. But then I found out who the Mole was prematurely. Dammit, don’t you hate it when shit like that happens? You get all psyched up to see something, and then it gets spoiled for you. But oh well, these things happen. I’m still going to see the last show to see how the Mole fucked up niggas’ money.
