Rosetta Stone is very pushy.

I called them wanting to get one of their free trial CDs for Japanese, and I must have been asked to buy the full-fledges version about 4 or 5 times. Now I had and do not have any problem with buying the thing flat out, but there is just one thing that basically stopped me:

  1. I'm 15. That means that I cannot legally have a job to pay for your awesome software, and even if I did, I couldn't pay for it with a debit or credit card because I couldn't get a credit card if I tried and I couldn't get a debit card with my checking account because I am too young for one.

Now I'm not mad at them for trying to sell it to me-otherwise this would've gone in the "Rants" category-, but 4 or 5 times? I can easily understand once or twice, but 4 or 5 times? It mae me want to tell them I was 15 so they (or more specifically she, since my disembodied telephone voice was a woman...I hope) would stop trying to shill me out of nearly $200, but I do believe that they would not send me out a free CD if I had.
